Aiden P Buckley: The Journey to Eagle Scout
After a decade-long journey through Scouting ranks, Aiden P Buckley achieved the prestigious Eagle Scout rank in 2025. His path began as a Tiger Scout with Pack 82 in the Dan Beard Council and culminated with Troop 200 in the Simon Kenton Council, representing years of dedication, leadership development, and service. To complete his Eagle Scout project, Aiden accumulated nearly 200 service hour projects, giving back to an organization that brought him and provided him with many growing experiences over the years: Granby Elementary, Coach Armstrong, the Granby Elementary Bike Park Gators.

Arrow of Light
The Arrow of Light demonstrates service to the community and service to the Pack. It is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn. Pack 82 and its member completed many Conservation Service Hours for Cub World (Camp Friedlander) to earn this rank.

SM John Pirt traveled to Wyoming, Ohio in a snowstorm to greet Aiden into Troop 200 of the Simon Kenton Council.

Moved from Cincinnati to Columbus, Ohio.

As Troop 200's Quarter Master, Aiden managed all troop equipment and supplies, developing critical organizational skills.

Aiden's participation in the intensive National Youth Leadership Training program equipped him with advanced skills that he immediately applied within his troop, elevating both his personal leadership abilities and the effectiveness of Troop 200. He led Troop 200's gear and trailer organization activities as part of his NYLT requirements and service as Quartermaster.

Brotherhood Membership
Aiden was elected by his peers to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society, recognizing his exemplary scout spirit and dedication to service.
After completing his Ordeal in 2022, Aiden sealed his membership by attaining Brotherhood status in 2023, demonstrating his continued commitment to the Order's principles.
Service and Ceremonies
Participated in multiple service projects at Camp Lazarus, contributing over 100 hours to improve council properties and facilities.
Served as a ceremonial team member, helping to welcome new Ordeal candidates into the Order through traditional Native American-inspired ceremonies.
The Order of the Arrow's principles of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service became fundamental to Aiden's scouting philosophy, influencing his approach to leadership within Troop 200 and his community service initiatives.
Aiden actively participated in the annual OA Conclave events, collaborating with fellow arrowmen from across the Simon Kenton Council to share ideas and strengthen the scouting program throughout the region.
